Newsboy Caps

Newsboy caps, also called newsies, gatsby caps, 8-panel caps and several other names, have been around for quite some time. The style was first popularized in Europe and North America in the early 20th century. While these hats have indeed been worn by newspaper boys, their appeal extends well beyond that particular group, to include rock stars (think-Brian Johnson of AC/DC) and the hipster subculture. Newsboy caps are a very practical cap that can be worn daily and across a variety of activities.
