Peaky Blinders Hats
"Peaky Blinders" can be used interchangeably with "flat caps" or "newsboy caps," and has been popularized due to the TV series "Peaky Blinders." The term was associated with a street gang in Birmingham, England in the early 20th century. These gangsters would dress to the nines, and always sported a flat cap to complete the look. The word "peaky" may be a slur of sorts, and "blinder" is an English expression for someone of dapper appearance. Another (possibly apocryphal) belief is that they would affix razor blades to their cap brims and swing their hats like weapons. Yikes!
